Teaching of the Course «Hybrid Threats and European Security» Continues at Ostroh Academy

As part of the implementation of the EU Jean Monnet Module «Self-Regulated Studies of Hybrid Threats and European Security” (EUROHYBSEC), the course «Hybrid Threats and European Security» is successfully continuing at the National University of Ostroh Academy.

The course is taught by Professor Anatoliy Khudolii, PhD in Political Science and Head of the Department of English Philology.

The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the complex and interdisciplinary nature of modern hybrid threats and challenges to European security. During the semester, students explore the historical background and real-life examples of hybrid threats, study the approaches of the European Union and NATO to identifying and countering them, and develop analytical and critical thinking skills.

Special attention is paid to the study of hybrid warfare, information attacks, terrorism, cyber threats, and value-based conflicts in modern Europe. The course also examines the political, military, and social dimensions of European security, helping students to understand the mechanisms of modern aggression and to model the potential threats to the European security system.

The knowledge and competencies gained from this course are highly valuable for students pursuing careers in international relations, public administration, media, and security studies. They will enable future professionals to effectively analyse current global developments, contribute to policymaking in the field of security, and foster cooperation between governmental and expert communities.

The project of the Jean Monnet direction of the Erasmus+ program «Self-Regulated Studies of Hybrid Threats and European Security» is aimed at promoting European principles of building a strong and secure order by using new forms and methods of communication and creating a clear vision of the European security system for target audiences.
